A course which requires precise shot-making, it has successfully staged numerous top-level tournaments, most notable the Alfred Dunhill Cup Asia-Pacific qualifier in 1988 as well as several China Open amateur championship for men and women. | | A second 18-hole layout-built on an 80 hectare site on the eastern side of the Palmer course - designed by Nicklaus opened in November 1993 and is widely regarded as the finest all-round test of golf in China. The Club located in Sanxiang Commune, Zhongshan City which is the center of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and also the meeting point of Zhongshan and Zhuhai City. In recent years, there are some new progresses on the transportation network to the Club. On one hand, the "Tanzhou Express" and some flyovers on the "G105 Highway" were open to traffic. Therefore, it only takes half an hour from the Club to downtown Zhongshan. On the other hand, you may easily reach Hong Kong or Macau from the Club via "Jingin Express" and "Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge".
In addition, the policies of "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong and Macao Vehicles" and the opening of "The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge” make the Hong Kong, Macao and Shenzhen members and guests' could reach the Club within one hour by land or water .
